Iyengar Yoga. New Year New Heights: Lengthening the Spine
Join us in Bali after the new dawn of the Gregorian Calendar and Chinese New Year. Start your 2020 with an invigorating morning practice, as we focus on gentle techniques for elongating the spine in standing, inverted and supine postures, as we awaken:
- Mooladhara, Root Chakra
- Manipura, Solar Plexus
- Anahata, Heart Chakra
- Vishuddha, Throat Chakra
While we yoke the body, mind and soul during the practice, you may begin to connect more deeply with your life passion, your community and your true voice. Open to ALL LEVELS.
Why concern myself with spine length?
A longer spine not only means that you will walk taller, but it also means that you will have healthy, unhindered communication between the Central Nervous System and all of your organs. A longer spine will improve your health, increase clarity and decrease back pain. You will look younger, sleep better and function better during your days.
Saturday Syllabus
After a meditation, we will enjoy a morning break, asana practice, and an afternoon meal together. Bring your towel and a change of clothes for a dip in the pool during the break. Later we will close with deep restorative sequence, when we breathe along our renewed spinal columns. Inaugurate your New Year with confidence, courage, a greater sense of belonging, connection, understanding and unshakable integrity.
